a sketchbook

This is my new favorite find — Sara Midda’s South of France | A Sketchbook. You can even flip through the pages here. A new client has let me borrow this little gem and I’m definitely going to have to get one for myself. Do you keep a sketchbook? This really makes me want to. I love the idea of keeping track of all types of inspiration we see every day. Then, of course, the fact that it is all in watercolor makes me love it even more. I took several watercolor classes in school from an amazing professor. He would paint antique cars where the metal looked real with the glisten of the sun bouncing on the surface. As a designer who works on the computer so much, I do love those times when I just sit and sketch — I must make more time when I get out a paint brush and create something, even if they are small sketches. Here are some of my favorite pages.

Happy Friday ~ I’ll be working on the final booth plans for New York (NSS – booth #1669) all weekend. It’s all coming together… can’t wait to share the final product!
